Description & Flavor Text

Technical Information

Player starts with 2 drones, 4 drones max (1+3). Every drone comes with 35 grenade rounds. Price, per drone = 60 dosh. Only 1 drone at time is allowed, deploying new one will result in explosion of the currently active. Drone begin to search for targets only after gaining altitude. Drone tries to aim at ZED's torso.

When spawned, searches for the closest target and fires at it until this target is dead, out of its range (15 meters), cloaks or when line of sight between the drone and this target is broken. Re-evaluates targets within 0.5s intervals.

Upon detonation / self-destruction spawns 5 grenades that spread around 360deg area within equal angles in range of random (2-7)m. Projectiles will explode after random (1-1.4)s.

Damage:

  • Grenade ballistic impact = 10.
  • Grenade explosion = 50.
  • Explosion damage / radius / falloff exponent = 35 / 2m / 1 (linear).
  • Buttstock bash = 26.

Manual detonation / Self-destruction:

  • Damage = 300.
  • Radius = 3.0m.
  • Falloff = exponential (power of 0.5).

Damage Type = Ballistic, Explosive.

Damage Type Group = Ballistic_Shell.

Rate Of Fire:

  • Drone = 85 RPM.
  • Buttstock bash = 79 (have spare drones) / 90 (no spare drones).

Equip Time = 0.27s, Putdown Time = 0.55s.

Weapon Powers:

  • Gun hit power (grenade impact) = 275.
  • Knockdown power (detonation) = up to 50.
  • Knockdown power (grenade explosion) = up to 50.
  • Knockdown power (grenade impact) = 125.
  • Stumble power (detonation) = up to 150.
  • Stumble power (grenade explosion) = up to 150.
  • Stumble power (grenade impact) = 340.

Upgrades

  • Upgrade 1 (700): Base damage x1.15 (11 impact, 40 explosion), Base weight + 1 (4 total).
  • Upgrade 2 (1500): Base damage x1.3 (13 per bullet, 45 explosion), Base weight + 2 (5 total).

Upgrading Remote Controller will as well increase damage of the currently active drone. Drone's damage depends on whether player holds upgraded (or not) RC - exchanging upgraded RC for non-upgraded and vice-versa will instantly change HRG Bombardier's damage. Droping upgraded RC (without picking non-upgraded) while Drone is active will not change its damage.

Notes

  • Explosion radius of its grenades and drone detonation itself is affected by Demolitionist's and Survivalist's extra explosion radius skills.
  • Cannot be deployed with Sentinel at the same time. Deploying either of the drones will result in destruction of the previous. Can be detonated from either weapon's RC.
  • Grenade (speed) = 20 m/s, No random spread.
  • Drone is a projectile weapon, grenades travel in a parabolic fashion and fully affected by gravity.
  • Hovers in place, at about 2 meters above the ground.
  • Does not attract ZEDs. Cannot be damaged.
