The Ashwood Asylum is a community-made official Killing Floor 2 map. It was added in the game as a part of Grim Treatments update.

Ghost Encounters

Apparently the place is haunted and there is a lot of paranormal activity happening in the area. Players might join the RIP (Roswell Investigators of Paranormal) team to check out following activity:

Fountain Encounter

To the right of the spawn there is a fountain. When player approaches it closer the sound of laughing children might be heard. There is also a chance for a dark semi-transparent silhouettes to appear near this area.

Lit Windows

Apparently there is someone or something in Asylum as around the map there 5 windows which are still lit. However should the player approach any of them closer, the light goes off. One of these windows located right above the Fountain Encounter.

Hanged Ghost

At the farthest leftmost area of the map there is a building entrance underneath the scaffolding. Entering the room and staying here for a few seconds will cause lights to go off and will reveal a scary scene.


In the left-wing hallway, right before the cafetheria, there are stairs around the lift shaft. In this area players might witness dark, fast moving silhouette at the first floor, and white static image of what resembles a human at the second floor. Creepy laugh can be heard around this area as well.

Hallway Ghost

In the middle of the map, there is securing room that connects two of the building wings - cafetheria and what seem to be a medical block (morgue) via overpass. Occasionally when player approaches the door that leads to the morgue the lights in corridor will turn off, and a static image of a person will be seen by the flipped table for a brief moment.

Patient's Voices

There are 2 cells in the asylum which apparently still hold patients in them.
