The Mkb.42(H) Carbine Rifle is one of the Commando's tier 3 weapons. Compare to AK-12 this weapon does more damage per shot and has slower rate of fire, both resulting is overall slightly higher damage per second; however it also lacks 3-round 1000 RPM burst that AK-12 has for its secondary firemode and instead fires in semi-automatic mode with the same damage and ROF stats as on its primary.

  • Damage per bullet = 50.

Notes

  • Amount of recoil depends on player stance and movement. Crouching and aiming down the sights gives the lowest possible amount of the recoil.
  • Costs 2200 Dosh to fully upgrade.
  • Costs 500 Dosh to fully replenish ammo from 0 bullets.

Strategy

A single headshot will decapitate any basic enemy - Gorefast, Stalker, Crawler or any type of Clot. A single body-shot will kill a Crawler. A couple of headshots will decapitate a Bloat.

High damage per bullet and slow ROF make this weapon a good choice for picking targets with single-fire mode.

Mkb has slightly better DPS (damage per second) than AK-12 (if full-auto), the disadvantages are iron sights (compare to AK-12's clean optics), expensive ammo and lack of high-RPM burst firing mode.

Trivia

  • Interestingly, the model of the weapon is missing it's magazine eject button, however the reload animation still "presses" where it would be.
  • Can deal up to 15000 damage with full ammo (300) capacity as off-perk weapon.
