The HX25 Grenade Pistol is the Demolitionist's starting weapon. It is a single-shot hand held grenade launcher that fires multiple explosive projectiles akin to shotguns. As a part of multi-perk weapon system HX25 Grenade Pistol also belong to the arsenal of Gunslinger.

Unlike the other multi-projectile weapons, this weapon has its spread profile adjusted to be more predictable (circle-shaped).
One of the pellets in salvo is always dead-centered. The pellets, however, are still affected by gravity.
Weapon Powers:
Knockdown power (explosion) = up to 5.
Stumble power (explosion) = up to 10.
Stumble power (pellet direct hit) = 75.
Upgrades
Upg1 (500): Base damage x1.25, Base weight + 1.
Upg2 (600): Base damage x1.4, Base weight + 2.
Upg3 (700): Base damage x1.6, Base weight + 3.
Upg4 (1500): Base damage x1.9, Base weight + 4.
Notes
- Direct hit with each pellet does two types of the damage - ballistic (capable of damaging specific body parts, essentially it is a big slow bullet), then explosive (only does damage to body).
- Gets no damage bonuses from Demolitionist's High Impact Rounds skills due "shotgun" type of the damage on its pellets (while the former only affecting "ballistic_shell").
- Pellet collide with either - ZED's hitzone or collision cylinder.
- Pellets affected by gravity.
Strategy
Ideal for damaging groups of ZEDs in early waves.
Has the highest price amount all the starting weapons (300 vs. 200 dosh) hence when sold gives extra 50 dosh.
Gains all the perk bonuses from Gunslinger thanks to multi-perk weapon system.
Trivia
- According to source code there was an unused alternative fire mode, firing a single explosive grenade. This mode was cut off from the release version of firearm.
- The HX25 resembles to a Heckler & Koch HK69A1, with the exception of the ammo used.
